Enhancements

Reporting and Exporting

  • The Well Export now contains a "Sortable UWI" column, which allows for easy sorting of the data once it's in Excel.
  • The Split-level fields were removed from the default columns of the Smart Grids. These fields are still in the Available Columns list. They were removed to reduce the confusion caused by seeing multiple rows for a single document (which had multiple splits).
  • The Expiry Date column was added, as a default column, to most Smart Grids.

Contracts

  • The 2015 CAPL Farmout and Royalty Procedure document was added to Contracts.

Other

  • Upgraded to web-pli v7.1 (Lithium Client Side Libraries).
  • Passwords must now meet new complexity rules. When you change your password, it must have 3 of the following 4 items:
    • Upper-case letter
    • Lower-case letter
    • Number
    • Symbol (?&%$#@!)

Bug Fixes

  • The Related Documents grid was failing to load for some clients. This is now fixed.
  • A printing issue with Clause 406 in the 1996 PASC Accounting Procedure document was fixed.

Reporting and Exporting

  • The Lessee column and filter have been added to the Mineral Lease and Surface Lease smart grids.

Picklists

  • The Province/State list has been standardized. The standard items can not be modified or deleted. Your custom provinces and states are not affected, but, where possible, should be changed to use the standardized list.
  • The Rights Products list now has standard items in it. These items can not be modified or deleted. Where possible, your custom rights products should be changed to use one of the standard products in preparation for the upcoming Structured Rights feature. Custom rights product usages will be included in the structured rights search result. They will be considered base products unless configured otherwise.
  • The Rights Products may now be grouped. You can use the Group Products checkbox to display the field for Member Products. You can modify the Member Products list to create your own custom product groups.
  • The Zones may now be grouped. You can use the Group Zones checkbox to display the field for Member Zones. You can modify the Member Zones list to create your own custom zone groups. Where possible, your custom zones should be changed to use one of the standard zones. To make this change easier, you will soon receive an email with a list of your custom zones and the standard zones. Use this spreadsheet to provide the appropriate standard zone, for each of your custom zones, and then return the spreadsheet to us. We will make all of the adjustments to your custom zone usages automatically.

Contracts

  • The 2015 CAPL Operating Procedures document is now available for Contracts, under the Procedure Documents tab.

Bug Fixes

  • Numeric columns were not sorting in numerical order (1..12, instead of 1,10,11,12,2,3,...,9). This has been fixed.

Other

  • A System Settings item has been added to the Administration section. This allows you to set three values: Report Heading, Abstract Page Size, and Rental Rounding. More configurable values will be added to this section in the future.
  • A button that allows you to add new items has been added to each of the Smart Grids.
  • Several formatting changes were made to the User Profile screen.

Bug Fixes

  • In some cases, changes to the Project member list was not reflected when filtering reports by Project. This is now fixed.
  • The "Use in Net Calcs" checkmark, in the Contacts grid, no longer reads from the wrong field.
  • The toolbar, that appears above each of the Smart Grids, was not resizing for users with lower resolution screens. This caused some of the toolbar controls to be cut off and inaccessible. This is now fixed.
  • A missing graphic dividing line was added between the Smart Grids and the toolbar that appears above them.
  • Several captions were corrected throughout the system.
  • The graphic formatting on the User Profile screen was tidied up.
  • The Custom Export feature was failing to run, due to unexpected effects of a previous upgrade to the Lithium platform. This is now fixed.

  • The new Rental Forecast export will show you a matrix of your upcoming rentals for an entire year, broken down by Area and Gross/Net values. It also includes grand totals for each of these facets. The basic design for this feature was provided by Esmeralda Lemonson from InPlay Oil & Gas.

Other

  • To access details for your login ID, click on your name in the top-right corner and choose Edit Profile from the menu. You can now fix a spelling mistake in your name, or add your phone numbers and positional details. You may also change your password here.

Bug Fixes

  • The Recently Run Reports list was not sorted by date/time, making it difficult to locate a specific item. This list is now sorted by date/time.
  • The time-out period, for uploading files to the Related Documents tab, has been increased to allow for clients with a low-speed internet connection.
  • The email you receive when your password is reset, still contained a reference to "GeoNexus". This has been changed to "Pandell Geo".

Bug Fixes

  • In some cases, Saved Presets for reports would fail when you attempted to re-open them. This has been fixed.
  • The Wells grid would fail to load when a Well in a specific (invalid) format existed in the system. This is now fixed.
  • It was possible to create an invalid Well UWI, by first creating it using the Free format, and then switching to the NTS format. This is no longer possible.
  • A database clean-up procedure, applied in the summer of 2015, accidentally removed some documents for a small number of clients. All of the accidentally removed documents have been restored.

  • The Operator column and advanced filter was added to the Contract, Mineral Lease, and Surface Lease smart grids.
  • Titles found on the grids and criteria screens, for all reports, have been made more consistent.

Administration

  • The user designated as the "System Administrator" may now manage user logins with the User Administration feature. The Administrator can add, remove and manage login details. Browsers and Editors will not have access to this feature.

Other

  • The format of the NTS UWI has changed slightly. Specifically, a dash in the middle of the UWI has been changed to a forward slash, to comply with the industry standard.
  • The Login screen now requires your email address, instead of the previously assigned User Name. If you do not know which email address to use, get in touch with our Help Desk (403.685.6270 or pandellhelp@esgglobal.com). Your password has not changed.

  • The Password Reset feature is now working as expected.
  • More adjustments to titles and captions were made, throughout the system, as part of the Pandell Geo re-branding project.

  • The new "Pandell Geo" brand replaced the "GeoNexus" brand in the dashboard heading. In subsequent releases, "GeoNexus" will be replaced with "Pandell Geo" throughout the system.
  • The Related Documents search option was left out during the previous release, which included Smart Grids. This search feature has returned, due to popular demand, and it has been enhanced to work with the new Smart Grids
  • Pandell Geo was updated to include the version 4.6 release of the Pandell Lithium development platform. This updated included several internal enhancements for performance and structure. Visible changes include:
    • The User indicator has moved to the Dashboard header and it contains a drop-down menu of user-related functions.
    • The Database selector has been changed to match the style of the new Dashboard header.
    • The Help menu has been changed to match the style of the new Dashboard header.
    • The action buttons (New, Open, Delete) for specific grids have moved into the grid header.
    • The multi-select picklist has been enhanced with clickable checkboxes and searching functionality.
    • Well mapping pins have been updated to match the pins from the land mapping for consistency.

  • The following adjustments were made to the "Rental Export to JIBLink" feature:
    • The feature was re-branded "Rental Export to EnergyLink", to match the re-branding initiative from Red Dog Systems.
    • Checks were added to ensure that no two Contacts could use the same EnergyLink Partner ID and every Contact exported by the feature was assigned an EnergyLink Partner ID.
    • The Contact addresses were parsed and distributed to the correct fields in the EnergyLink export file. This change required clients to manually reformat their Contact addresses to match the format prescribed by Red Dog Systems.
    • Invoice numbers are now prefixed with "M" or "S", for Mineral and Surface.
    • All invoices for a particular partner have been rolled into one invoice for that partner.

Other

  • The DLS UWI format has been adjusted slightly, to match the industry standard format. Specifically, the dash preceding the "W" was removed. This also allows an InfoLink from the Roads and Crossings system to work.
  • UWI formatting was also changed for NTS, dashes were added to match the standard format (e.g. 200/D-091-G-094A15/00 -> 200/D-091-G-094-A-15/00).

  • Reports would fail to completely load, leaving them at the "Please Wait" screen. Ctrl+F5 was used as a work-around, to get the report to finish loading. This issue has been fixed.
  • Browsers are no longer blocked from re-running the Last Run report option more than once.
  • The Contracts report no longer fails to load when Terms or Related Documents are selected for inclusion in the report output.
  • In some cases, the Accumap and GeoScout exports would produce empty files. This issue has been fixed.
  • The checkmark graphic, on the Report Complete screen, is no longer missing.
  • The Cancel button is no longer missing from report generation.

Other

  • Edits to the Comments on document splits were being saved to the database, but not refreshed to the screen, making it appear that they were lost. This issue has been fixed.
  • In some cases, the wrong Land record was being blamed for validation errors. This issue has been fixed.
  • The styling of the Active/Rental buttons, on DOI's, is now consistent with the rest of the interface.
